It is with deep shock and sadness that the RCCFDC Board and Staff join the community in mourning the sudden loss of Jamie Bramburger, Interim Dean of Algonquin College Waterfront Campus, and a respected community leader, journalist, and author.

A dedicated champion of community development, Jamie played an instrumental role in numerous endeavors and organizations, including Cogeco Community Television, the United Way, the Pembroke Lumber Kings, the Jason Blaine Charity, and many others. With his can-do attitude, Jamie tirelessly united community leaders and fostered professional development and education through the college’s Business Leadership Conferences, Speaker Series, and TED Talks.

At RCCFDC, we reflect on our wonderful and long-standing relationship with Jamie. We are proud to have partnered on numerous initiatives, including the feasibility study for the new Algonquin campus, the Co-Op Works Job Creation program, and the Options Skilled Trades Fair, among others.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Jamie’s family, his many friends and colleagues, and the entire Renfrew County community during this time of profound loss.
